Caramellounge.com Hi5 for Africans and Caribbeans by Folabi and Lawrence (aka Quench) Caramellounge.com - Social Networking for Africans & Caribbeans was started out of necessity to fill a void in the Social Networking market. Although many sites landed in the market by the day, none came with the intention of catering to the African and Caribbean people. Sites that did were simply dating scripts and did not venture into the developing new tools to aid online communication.
Started by two students of Imperial College London, Folabi Ogunkoya & Lawrence Bassey-Oden while preparing for their final exams. It brings a new era of Young Afro-Caribbean entrepreneurs threading where only big companies and already successful business people go.
Six months down the line the site is fast growing and attaining members from all over the world. The response has been phenomenal.
Unlike other sites, which are mainly African-American, this one caters to everyone from every country and really aims to put the people of Africa & the Caribbeans on the map of the world
